The Emily Project was designed as a complete contrast to our Grace Project, taking the same home layout and transforming it into an entirely different experience. This project was all about creating depth, mood, and balance, proving how dramatically materials and finishes can redefine a space.
On the main level and throughout the upper floor, we balanced rich dark flooring with lighter accents to create warmth and contrast. In the kitchen, mirrored cabinetry was thoughtfully incorporated to reflect light and frame the stove area, creating a stunning focal point. A quartz backsplash and ledge add elegance and visual depth, while the custom wood range hood grounds the space and introduces warmth and balance. A beautiful stone fireplace further enhances the home's architectural character and creates a sense of comfort throughout the space.
The primary ensuite was designed as a retreat, a place to unwind and escape. Featuring an oversized walk in shower, a deep soaker tub, and beautifully selected tile throughout, every element was curated with comfort in mind. Lighted niches add a luxurious touch and bring an extra layer of detail to the space. In the main bathroom, patterned flooring and gold accents introduce warmth and softness, balancing the cooler tones carried throughout the home.
The basement is where the project fully embraces its personality. Rich in character and layered details, this space is full mood. Coffered ceilings create architectural interest while a hidden speakeasy inspired stone wine room with custom wood shelving adds an unexpected moment of discovery. The bar area becomes a destination of its own, featuring dark cabinetry paired with dramatic black marbled quartz countertops and backsplash, mirrored arched shelving, black ceilings, and a bold accent wall. Dark trim paired with lighter walls creates balance while maintaining the overall atmosphere of the space.
From the herringbone tile in the basement bathroom to the arched shower details, every space was designed with intention. Every finish, every texture, and every detail was carefully considered to create a home that goes above and beyond in every way.
(We have to say, this is one of our favorites!)
